Trout fishing, hang a hook in your front yard. Fighting Town Creek is a wonderful fresh water river leading into the Tocoaa River which turns into the Ocoee River at the state line. If you look on the link: www.fishbrain.com you will see that Fannin County has more trout fishing locations that you will find in any location. Also you have the Nantahala River with some of the exciting spots of this country. If you love to trout fish, come spend the spring or summer and git her done.

I was in downtown Blue Ridge and checked out the fly, trout shop. Three doors down there was another shop. I thought, "kinda close, isn't it?". Well turns out I went in and it is a unique shop that trains fishermen in workshops on how to make their own bamboo rods. Bamboo Fly Rod Making Class is a six or five day course and you go home with a beautiful fly rod.
